Hull City 0-4 Chelsea: Pedro Neto scores hat-trick as Liam Rosenior guides Blues into the FA Cup fifth round

Pedro Neto scored his first senior hat-trick as Liam Rosenior's Chelsea cruised past Hull City with a 4-0 victory at the MKM Stadium to earn a spot in the FA Cup fifth round.

The Portuguese forward fired in the opener from just outside of the box as Chelsea steadied themselves after an end-to-end start.

Up to that point, Rosenior's former club had shown some promise on the counter with Liam Millar coming close early on. Chelsea themselves nearly had an opener when goalkeeper Dillon Phillips' lax clearance deflected off of a keen Liam Delap onto the bar, but only half the ball crossed the line.

While a goal wasn't meant to be for Delap, he turned provider, earning a treble of assists himself on the night, after setting up Neto's first.

Neto needed no help for his second of the match as his corner curled straight in, undoing Phillips as the ball dropped into the net through his legs.

However, Neto will have to thank Delap for his hat-trick goal, though, as after the 23-year-old set up Estevao for Chelsea's third, he teed up the winger to slot home after a slick give-and-go.

After barely laying a glove on Chelsea during the second half, Hull burst into life with the game already wrapped up. Liverpool loanee Lewis Koumas struck the post after smartly beating Tosin.

Hull continued the barrage into stoppage time but ultimately couldn't find even a consolation against a staunch Chelsea defence.

Chelsea are the first side to book a place in the fifth round draw, which will take place on Monday.

Chelsea striker Liam Delap to BBC Sport:

"It was a really good evening for us. Being back here, I have good memories. It was a good night and the result we wanted.

On hitting the bar: "I thought it was in. I should have put it in. These things happen and I'll learn from it next time.

"We showed dominance in the first half but didn't put our chances to bed. The second half was different.

"I need to keep myself fit and keeping the rhythm. The end of the season is going to be really challenge, so we need everyone dialled in.

"It's always different, there are so many different why the team is selected. It's not always the same 11 and it's part of football. But you get the job done.

"I've known the new boss from before. The messages we get, we're all buying into it and you can see that in the results we're getting."

Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic:

"I didn't hear it. This is not a place for it, in the stadium and in public as well. But I didn't hear it. It's not good for sure.

"The stadium is not a place for that, that is the reason why they are arrested."

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior:

"Without knowing what has happened, and I don't know, any discriminatory language in any form about anything is unacceptable. I hope it gets dealt with. The fourth official mentioned something to me but I was so focused on the game. I honestly don't know what's happened there."
